How-to Guide
1. Set indent from the floating toolbar

- Place the cursor in the paragraph you want to adjust, or select multiple paragraphs.
- In the floating toolbar that appears, click Align & Indent.
- Click Increase Indent or Decrease Indent.
- Check the left-side spacing of the paragraph to confirm the change.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The selected paragraph shows a visible change in left-side spacing.
- Next action available: You can repeat the same action on other paragraphs.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If no paragraph is selected first, it may be harder to confirm which content the action applies to.
- Environment note: If the current content uses a special style, the final display may still be affected by that style.
2. Set indent from the ribbon
Entry: Select a paragraph → Top ribbon → Increase Indent / Decrease Indent
- Place the cursor in the paragraph you want to adjust, or select multiple paragraphs.
- On the top ribbon, find Increase Indent or Decrease Indent.
- Click the button you need to adjust the paragraph indent.
- If you want to standardize multiple paragraphs, keep them selected and continue applying the same command.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The selected paragraphs update with the new indent setting.
- Next action available: You can continue editing, copying, or reusing the same paragraph format.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the cursor is placed in content without confirming the target paragraph, the change may seem easy to miss.
- Environment note: Before batch editing, confirm that all target paragraphs are selected.
3. Set indent from the paragraph handle
Entry: Select a paragraph → Paragraph handle icon → Align & Indent
- Place the cursor in the paragraph you want to adjust, or select multiple paragraphs.
- Click the paragraph handle icon on the left.
- In the expanded menu, click Align & Indent.
- Click Increase Indent or Decrease Indent.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The current paragraph or selected paragraphs update their indent immediately.
- Next action available: You can continue organizing nearby block content in the same area.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you click the handle for a nearby paragraph by mistake, the wrong content may be adjusted.
- Environment note: The paragraph handle entry is especially useful for fine adjustments close to block content.
