1. Increase paragraph indent

Entry: Edit in the lower-right corner → Alignment and Indentation → Increase Indent

  1. Open a smart document and tap Edit in the lower-right corner.
  2. Select the paragraph you want to adjust.
  3. Tap Alignment and Indentation in the bottom toolbar.
  4. Tap Increase Indent to move the paragraph inward.

Success Criteria

  • The selected paragraph moves inward from its previous position.
  • The paragraph level becomes clearer and you can continue editing.

Tips While Using

  • Select the target paragraph before applying indentation.
  • If the content already uses heading or list styles, the visual result may differ from plain body text.

2. Decrease paragraph indent

Entry: Edit in the lower-right corner → Alignment and Indentation → Decrease Indent

  1. Open a smart document and enter editing mode.
  2. Select a paragraph that already has indentation.
  3. Tap Alignment and Indentation.
  4. Tap Decrease Indent to move the paragraph outward.

Success Criteria

  • The selected paragraph moves back toward the page margin.
  • The text returns to a higher layout level.

Tips While Using

  • If the paragraph is already close to the default position, the visible change may be smaller.
  • Adjust step by step so the layout change is easier to review.

3. Apply the same indent to multiple paragraphs

Entry: Edit in the lower-right corner → Alignment and Indentation

  1. Open a smart document and enter editing mode.
  2. Select multiple paragraphs that need the same formatting.
  3. Tap Alignment and Indentation.
  4. Tap Increase Indent or Decrease Indent as needed.
  5. Check whether all selected paragraphs now use the same indentation level.
