1. Find content
Entry point: top toolbar → Find and Replace button (magnifier icon) → Find
- Open a smart document.
- Click the search button or the Find and Replace entry in the toolbar.
- In the panel that opens at the upper right, select Find.
- Enter the keyword you want to search for.
- Press Enter or click Next to move to the matching content.
- Keep clicking Next to move through later matches.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the find box appears at the upper right and the current match is highlighted.
- Next action available: you can continue to the next match or switch to replace mode.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if the keyword is misspelled or includes extra spaces, the target content may not be found.
- Environment note: this search is mainly for text content, and some special content areas may not be included.
2. Replace content
Entry point: top toolbar → Find and Replace button (magnifier icon) → Replace
- Open a smart document.
- Click the search button or the Find and Replace entry in the toolbar.
- In the panel that opens at the upper right, select Replace.
- In the Find box, enter the original text you want to replace.
- In the Replace with box, enter the new text.
- Click Replace to update the current match, or click Replace All to update every match at once.
- If the result is not what you expected, press Command + Z to undo the recent action.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the current match is replaced with the new text, or all matching text in the document is updated.
- Next action available: you can continue searching for other keywords or save the document changes.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: running Replace All before checking the match scope may change text that should not be edited.
- Environment note: if you want to review results more carefully, replace one match at a time before using a batch replacement.
