1. Open the file upload entry

Entry: Form editor → Form → File Upload

  1. Open the Smart Forms editing page.
  2. Select the Form module in the left navigation.
  3. Find the File Upload option.
  4. Click File Upload to enter the editing area.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the file upload configuration area is open.
  • Next step available: you can continue to adjust settings or review the current configuration.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if you are not in the form editing page first, the File Upload option may not appear.
  • Environment note: you need permission to access the Smart Forms editor.

2. Set upload options and preview

Entry: File Upload settings panel

  1. In the File Upload settings panel, adjust the available options shown in the interface.
  2. Check whether the upload field display and instructions match the needs of the form.
  3. Open preview and confirm how the upload field appears to respondents.
  4. If needed, return to the settings panel and adjust the configuration again.

  • Interface result: the preview shows the file upload field as expected.
  • Next step available: you can continue editing or move to the save step.

3. Save the file upload configuration

Entry: File Upload settings panel → Confirm / Save

  1. After finishing the settings, review the current configuration again.
  2. Click Confirm to complete the file upload setup.
  3. If the form editor also provides a Save button, save the form changes there as well.
  4. Reopen preview or test the later response flow to confirm that the configuration is active.

  • Interface result: the current settings remain available when you reopen the configuration.
  • Next step available: you can continue editing other form items or publish the form.

  • Common mistake: if you only adjust settings but do not click Confirm or Save, the configuration may not be kept.
