This FAQ covers 4 common questions and a glossary for hierarchy changes, operation limits, and entry-point selection when using WPS Art Upgrade and Downgrade.
FAQ
What does upgrading or downgrading change?
- Upgrading moves an item to a higher level.
- Downgrading moves an item to a lower level.
- After the change, the hierarchy structure in the graphic is updated accordingly.
Can a top-level item be upgraded again?
- First, confirm whether the current item is already at the top level.
- If it is already at the top level, it cannot be upgraded further.
- You can adjust other items instead, or use Downgrade to reorganize the structure.
Why did the relationship change after I downgraded an item?
- Downgrading changes more than the current item level.
- In a hierarchy graphic, the downgraded item may become a child item of the previous peer item.
- If the result is not what you expected, upgrade the item again or adjust related items further.
When should I use the floating toolbar?
- If you want to adjust hierarchy quickly in the current editing area, use the floating toolbar first.
- If you want to combine the change with other design actions, you can use the top Design tab instead.
- Both entry points can complete the hierarchy adjustment, so you can choose the one that fits your editing habit.
