1. Set a layout from the Design tab

Entry: Design tab → Layout

  1. Select the item whose layout you want to change.
  2. Click the Design tab at the top of the window.
  3. Click Layout to open the available layout options.
  4. Select Right to Left, Standard, Both, Left Hanging, or Right Hanging as needed.
  5. Click the layout style you want to apply it to the current item.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The arrangement of the child items under the current item changes.
  • What you can do next: You can continue editing text, adjusting styles, or switching to another layout.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the item is not selected first, it may be difficult to tell which object the layout change will affect.
  • Environment note: Layout settings apply only to structures that contain child items.

2. Change a layout from the floating toolbar

Entry: Floating toolbar → Change Layout

  1. Select the item whose layout you want to change.
  2. On the floating toolbar, click Change Layout.
  3. Select the layout style you want.
  4. Check the updated arrangement of the child items under the current item.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The current item layout updates immediately.
  • What you can do next: You can continue using other related editing commands from the floating toolbar.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the current object is not selected correctly, the related command may not appear on the floating toolbar.
  • Environment note: The layout change affects only the child items of the selected item, not other parts of the graphic.
