What is the difference between selecting and clearing a placeholder?

  1. Open the Master Layout dialog.
  2. When you select a placeholder element, it is shown in the master.

Will existing slides change after I modify the master layout?

  1. If a slide uses the current master, its page structure changes after the master layout is modified.
