How-to Guide

1. Group multiple objects

Entry path: Open a presentation in editing mode → Select multiple objects → Drawing Tools tab → Group

  1. Open the target presentation and make sure the current slide is in editing mode.
  2. Hold Ctrl and select the multiple objects you want to manage together.
  3. Open the related Drawing Tools tab at the top of the window.
  4. Click Group to combine the selected objects.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the selected objects appear as one grouped selection.
  • What you can do next: you can move, resize, or continue adjusting the grouped object as one unit.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if only one object is selected, grouping will not work as expected.
  • Environment note: the file must be editable and the objects must be selectable.

2. Ungroup objects

Entry path: Select a grouped object → Drawing Tools tab → Group/Ungroup related command

  1. Select the object group that has already been grouped in the presentation.
  2. Open the related Drawing Tools tab.
  3. Click the Ungroup option under the group-related command.
  4. Select the separated objects as needed and continue editing them individually.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the original grouped object is split into separate objects.
  • What you can do next: each object can be moved, edited, or deleted on its own.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if you do not select a grouped object first, ungrouping cannot be applied directly.
  • Environment note: ungrouping only works on objects that are already grouped.

Entry path: Group/Ungroup → More Settings

  1. Find the Group/Ungroup related entry in the presentation editing interface.
  2. Click More Settings.
  3. Review the available options in the settings panel that opens.
  4. Apply the settings you need for the current editing task and confirm.
  • Interface result: the additional settings panel related to grouping is open.
  • What you can do next: you can continue adjusting related settings based on the current object state on the slide.
  • Common mistake: if you do not confirm the current selection state first, some settings may not apply.
  • Environment note: available settings can vary depending on the object type.
