Why is the Group or Ungroup button grayed out?

  1. Make sure the current file is in editing mode.
  2. Check whether selectable objects are already selected.
  3. If you want to group objects, select at least two objects and try again.
  4. If you want to ungroup, select an object that has already been grouped.

Why do I not see the result I expected after grouping?

  1. Drag the grouped object first to confirm whether the items now move together.
  2. Try resizing or repositioning the group and check whether the elements change together.
  3. If one element still needs separate editing, ungroup the objects first and then edit that item.

How do I undo a Group or Ungroup action?

  1. Press Ctrl+Z right away to undo the previous action.
  2. Or click Undo in the quick access area to return to the previous state.
  3. If needed, select the objects again and repeat the group or ungroup action.
