1. Set fonts from the ribbon

Entry point: Home / Text Tools tab → Font dropdown

  1. Select the text you want to change.
  2. Click the Home or Text Tools tab.
  3. Click the Font dropdown.
  4. Select the font you want to apply.

Success Criteria

  • The selected text changes to the target font.
  • You can keep typing with the current font setting.

Tips While Using

  • If the font does not appear in the list, confirm that it is installed in Windows first.

2. Set fonts from the floating toolbar

Entry point: Floating toolbar → Font dropdown

  1. Select the text you want to change.
  2. Click the Font dropdown on the floating toolbar.
  3. Select the font you want to apply.

Success Criteria

  • The text font updates immediately.
  • You can continue editing without switching back to the main ribbon.

Tips While Using

  • The floating toolbar usually appears after text is selected. If it does not appear, select the text again.

3. Set fonts from the right-click menu

Entry point: Right-click menu → Font dropdown

  2. Right-click the selected text.
  3. Click the Font dropdown in the right-click menu.
  4. Select the font you want to apply.

4. Set font size from the ribbon

7. Set fonts in the Font dialog box

Entry point: Home / Text Tools tab → Arrow icon in the lower-right corner of the Font area

  1. Select the text you want to change.
  2. Click the Home or Text Tools tab, then click the arrow icon in the lower-right corner of the Font area.
  3. In the Font dialog box, set the Chinese font or Western font.
  4. Confirm the font you want to apply.

  • The font settings in the dialog box are applied to the selected text.
  • Chinese and Western fonts can be set separately.

8. Set font size in the Font dialog box

Entry point: Home / Text Tools tab → Arrow icon in the lower-right corner of the Font area

9. Embed fonts in the document

Entry point: File menu → Options → General and Save → Embed fonts in the file

  4. Click OK to save the setting.

  • The saved document includes the embedded font setting.
