How-to Guide

1. Extract text from a screenshot

Feature entry: Screenshot editing toolbar → Extract Text

  1. Take a screenshot and enter editing mode.
  2. Click Extract Text on the toolbar.
  3. Wait for WPS to open the separate Image to Text window.
  4. Wait for recognition to finish.
  5. Review the screenshot preview and recognition area on the left.
  6. Review the recognized text on the right.

  • Interface result: The Image to Text window opens and shows both the screenshot preview and the recognized text result.

2. Adjust recognition settings

Feature entry: Image to Text window → top toolbar

  1. Use Zoom to change the preview scale.
  2. Use Rotate to correct the screenshot angle.
  3. Use Correct to improve text recognition.
  4. Use Select All Text / Deselect All to adjust the text selection range.
  5. Click Select Recognition Area and manually mark the area to recognize.

  5. Continue reviewing the recognition result for each image as needed.

  3. Click Insert into Current Document to place the text into the current slide.
  4. Paste or continue editing the inserted content as needed.
