WPS Alignment Method on macOS FAQ

Last updated:July 13, 2026

When using Alignment Method, common questions usually fall into 3 areas: unavailable buttons, unclear results, and undoing changes; the answers below help you troubleshoot quickly.

FAQ

Why is the Alignment Method button grayed out and unavailable?

  1. Make sure the presentation is in editing mode instead of slideshow or read-only mode.
  2. Check whether you have selected a text box, placeholder, or paragraph.
  3. If the file is protected or the current object cannot be edited, switch to an editable object and try again.

Why can’t I see a clear result after changing paragraph alignment?

  1. Check whether the current text content is long enough to show a visible alignment difference.
  2. Make sure the selected object is a text object rather than an image, shape, or another non-text element.
  3. If needed, open More Settings and adjust related options before previewing again.

How do I undo an alignment change?

  1. Use the standard Mac undo shortcut ⌘+Z right away.
  2. Or click Undo on the toolbar to return to the previous step.
  3. If needed, select the text again and apply a different alignment option.

What should I do if the layout becomes messy after replacing template text?

  1. Select the updated title or body text again.
  2. Reapply the appropriate alignment option in the Paragraph area.
  3. If the slide still looks uneven, open More Settings and review the paragraph-related options.
