Tips While Using
- Keep the password in a safe place because access cannot be restored directly if the password is forgotten.
- When you share the file, send the password through a separate and secure channel.
- Save the file right after setting the password so the protection status is written into the document.

Success Criteria
- On-screen result: The new password settings or disabled status take effect.
- What you can do next: The document can continue to be opened, edited, and shared under the updated access rules.
Tips While Using
- Before changing a password, confirm that the current password still works.
- If you turn off password protection, the access restriction is removed at the same time, so review the file before sharing it again.
