Why can’t I see the ruler after opening my presentation?

  1. First, make sure you are in the normal editing view.
  2. Click the View tab and check whether Ruler is turned on.
  3. If it still does not appear, switch the Ruler option once more and check the top and left sides of the editing area.

What do the rulers represent after they appear?

  1. The ruler at the top of the editing area is the horizontal ruler for checking horizontal position.
  2. The ruler on the left side is the vertical ruler for checking vertical position.
  3. You can use both together when adjusting text boxes, images, and shapes.

How do I hide only the vertical ruler while keeping other layout references?

  1. Click the File tab and open Options.
  2. In the View section, find Vertical Ruler.
  3. Turn it off and click OK to update only the vertical ruler display state.
