1. Set a solid background from the Design tab

Entry path: Top Design tab → Background button

  1. Select the slide that you want to edit.
  2. Click the Design tab.
  3. Click Background to open the Object Properties panel on the right.
  4. Select Solid Fill in the panel.
  5. Click Color to choose a background color.
  6. Drag the Transparency slider to adjust background transparency.

2. Set a solid background from the left thumbnail shortcut menu

Entry path: Left slide thumbnail pane shortcut menu → Format Background

  1. Right-click the target slide in the left thumbnail pane.
  2. Select Format Background.
  3. In the Object Properties panel on the right, select Solid Fill.
  4. Set the fill color and transparency.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The background settings panel appears on the right, and the current slide background updates.

3. Set a solid background from the editing canvas shortcut menu

Entry path: Blank area in the slide editing canvas shortcut menu → Format Background

  1. Right-click a blank area in the slide editing canvas.
  2. Select Format Background.
  3. In the Object Properties panel on the right, select Solid Fill.
  4. Set the fill color and transparency.

4. Apply the solid background to all slides

Entry path: Bottom of the Object Properties panel → Apply to All

  1. Use any available entry point to finish setting the solid background color and transparency.
  2. Click Apply to All at the bottom of the Object Properties panel.
  3. Check other slides to confirm that the same background style has been applied.

  • Interface result: Slides across the whole presentation keep the same background style.
