1. Set Picture Height

Entry path: Picture Tools tab → Size group → Height box

  1. Select the picture whose height you want to change.
  2. Click the Picture Tools tab.
  3. Find the Height box in the Size group.
  4. Enter the height value in centimeters, or use the controls to adjust it.
  5. Press Enter to apply the change.

Success Criteria

  • Visual result: The picture height updates immediately.
  • Next action available: You can continue adjusting width, position, or other picture properties.

Tips While Using

  • Common issue: If the picture is not selected first, the height controls will not appear.
  • Common issue: If the value is invalid, the picture may not resize as expected.

2. Adjust Picture Size Precisely in Size and Position

Entry path: Picture Tools tab → launcher in the Size group → Size and Position pane

  1. Select the picture and click the Picture Tools tab.
  2. Click the launcher at the lower-right corner of the Size group.
  3. Open the Size and Position pane.
  4. In the Size and Properties tab, set Height and Width.
  5. If needed, adjust Scale height, Scale width, Lock aspect ratio, Relative to original picture size, slide show scaling settings, or Reset.

Success Criteria

  • Visual result: The right-side pane shows picture size settings.
  • Next action available: You can continue refining scale settings or restore the original size.

Tips While Using

  • Common issue: If Lock aspect ratio is off, changing only height may alter the picture proportions.
  • Common issue: When scale settings and actual size values are both adjusted, check the final display result carefully.

3. Open Size Settings from the Right-Click Menu

Entry path: Right-click picture → Set Object Format

  1. Select the picture and right-click it.
  2. Choose Set Object Format.
  3. In the Object Properties pane on the right, click the Size and Properties tab.
  4. Expand Size to adjust the settings.

Success Criteria

  • Visual result: The right-side pane shows the Size section.
  • Next action available: You can edit height, width, or related proportion settings directly.

Tips While Using

  • Common issue: If you right-click outside the picture object, the menu options will be different.

4. Open Size Settings from the Task Pane Property Button

Entry path: Task pane → Property button

  1. Select the picture.
  2. Click the Property button in the task pane on the right.
  3. Click the Size and Properties tab.
  4. Expand Size to adjust the settings.

Success Criteria

  • Visual result: The Size and Properties content appears in the task pane.
  • Next action available: You can continue setting height, width, and scale values.

Tips While Using

  • Common issue: If the task pane is collapsed, show the right-side pane first and then continue.
