How-to Guide
1. Set picture fill
Entry: Home tab → Shape Fill
- Select the picture that you want to fill.
- Click the Home tab.
- Click the Shape Fill drop-down button.
- Choose the option you need:
- Theme Colors to apply a preset solid color.
- Gradient Fill to apply a gradient effect.
- More Fill Colors to open the full standard or RGB color palette.
- Eyedropper to sample a color from the screen.
- Picture or Texture to use an image or texture as the fill background.
- Pattern to use a pattern fill.
- More Settings to continue in the Object Properties pane.
Success Criteria
- The picture shows the selected fill effect.
- The result is visible on the current slide immediately.
Tips While Using
- Select the picture first, then open the Shape Fill menu.
- If you need more detailed controls, continue with More Settings.
2. Customize fill settings
Entry: Home tab → Shape Fill → More Settings → Object Properties → Fill
- Select the picture that you want to fill.
- Click the Home tab.
- Click the Shape Fill drop-down button.
- Click More Settings to open the Object Properties pane on the right.
- In the Fill and Line tab, click Fill.
- Select the fill type you want:
- No Fill
- Solid Fill
- Gradient Fill
- Picture or Texture Fill
- Pattern Fill
- Slide Background Fill
- Preview the result and click a blank area to apply it.
Success Criteria
- The Object Properties pane shows the available fill options.
- The picture updates based on the selected fill type.

- Under Picture or Texture Fill, you can continue with either a picture-based or texture-based style.

3. Open the fill menu from the Home tab

4. Set fill from the right-click menu
Entry: Picture right-click menu → Set Object Format

- Select Set Object Format.
