1. Open the compression page from Picture Tools

Entry path: Select an image → Picture Tools → Compress Image

  1. Select the image you want to compress.
  2. Click the Picture Tools tab at the top of the window.
  3. Click Compress Image.
  4. The compression page opens.

Success Check

  • What you should see: The Compress Image page is open.
  • What you can do next: Continue to choose a compression method, resolution, and save option.

2. Open the compression page from the right-click menu

Entry path: Select an image → Right-click → Compress Image

  1. Select the image you want to compress.
  2. Right-click the image.
  3. Choose Compress Image.
  4. The compression page opens.

3. Set compression options

Entry path: Compress Image page

  1. On the Compress Image page, choose a compression method.
  2. Select AI Compression if you want stronger compression.
  3. Select Custom Size if you want to control the size limit for each image.
  4. Select Normal Compression for a standard compression method.
  5. Use Target Resolution to choose the output resolution.

  • What you should see: The selected compression method and resolution are shown on the page.
  • What you can do next: Review the size preview and save the result.

  • Common mistake: When you change both the compression method and resolution, review the preview before saving.

4. Preview and save the compressed result

Entry path: Compress Image page

  1. Review the size preview on the page.
  2. Compare the original dimensions, compressed dimensions, original size, compressed size, and compression ratio.
  3. Choose Save As to create a new file, or choose Overwrite Original to replace the original image directly.
  4. Finish saving the result.
