FAQ

What is the difference between AI Compression and Normal Compression?

  1. AI Compression is used to reduce image size as much as possible while keeping the image usable.
  2. Normal Compression uses a lighter compression level, so the resulting file size is usually larger.
  3. If you need more control, you can also combine compression settings with Custom Size and resolution options.

How can I check the compression result?

  1. Open the Compress Image page.
  2. Review the original dimensions, compressed dimensions, original size, compressed size, and compression ratio shown on the page.
  3. Use the preview to decide whether to save as a new file or overwrite the original image.

Why can’t I find the Compress Image entry?

  1. Make sure the file is open in WPS Presentation.
  2. Make sure an image object is selected.
  3. Then check the Picture Tools tab or the image right-click menu for Compress Image.

Should I choose Save As or Overwrite Original?

  1. Choose Save As if you want to keep the original image.
  2. Choose Overwrite Original if you want to replace the current image directly and avoid duplicate files.
  3. Before overwriting, confirm that the preview result fits your presentation needs.
