1. Apply a Gradient Fill

Entry: Graphic Tools tab → Fill

  1. Select the icon that you want to fill with a gradient.
  2. Click the Graphic Tools tab.
  3. Click Fill to open the available options.
  4. Select Gradient Fill to preview available styles.
  5. Click the gradient style you want to apply it to the icon.
  6. Select More Fill Colors if you want more preset gradient options.

Success Criteria

  • The icon shows a visible gradient color transition.
  • You can select the icon again and continue editing the fill.

Tips While Using

  • Make sure you selected the icon object instead of a text box or blank area.
  • If the Graphic Tools tab does not appear, click the icon again to activate object editing.

2. Customize a Gradient Fill

Entry: Graphic Tools tab → Fill → More Settings → Object Properties → Fill

  1. Select the icon you want to edit.
  2. Click the Fill drop-down under the Graphic Tools tab.
  3. Select More Settings to open the Object Properties pane on the right.
  4. Under Fill and Line, expand Fill.
  5. Select Gradient Fill.
  6. Adjust Gradient Style, Angle, Gradient Stop Color, Position, Transparency, and Brightness as needed.
  7. Select Rotate with shape if needed.
  8. Preview the result and click a blank area to finish applying it.

Success Criteria

  • The current gradient settings are visible in the Object Properties pane.
  • The icon appearance updates as you adjust the parameters.

Tips While Using

  • It is usually easier to choose the gradient style first and then refine stops and transparency.
  • Angle changes are commonly related to linear gradient direction.

3. Apply a Gradient from the Home Tab

Entry: Home tab → Shape Fill

  1. Select the icon that you want to fill with a gradient.
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. Click Shape Fill.
  4. Choose a gradient fill style from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click More Settings if you want to continue editing in the Object Properties pane.

Success Criteria

  • The icon receives a gradient fill from the Home tab.
  • You can continue refining the effect in Object Properties.

Tips While Using

  • This entry is useful when you want to work from the main editing tab.
  • If gradient options do not appear, confirm that the selected object supports fill settings.

4. Apply a Gradient from the Right-Click Menu

Entry: Right-click the icon → Set Object Format

  1. Select the icon.
  2. Right-click the icon.
  3. Select Set Object Format.
  4. Find the fill settings in the Object Properties pane on the right.
  5. Select gradient fill and adjust the settings you need.

Success Criteria

  • The right-click menu opens the object formatting pane.
  • The gradient effect is applied to the icon.

Tips While Using

  • This method is convenient when you want to work directly from the canvas.
  • If the menu looks different, confirm that you right-clicked the icon itself.

Entry: Any gradient fill entry point

  1. Select the icon and open any gradient fill entry point.
  2. Browse the available gradient styles or fill options.
  3. Note any style that shows a membership requirement.
  4. Decide whether to keep using available free styles or subscribe for the restricted styles.

Success Criteria

  • You can distinguish between styles that are currently available and styles that require membership.
  • You can decide whether an upgrade is necessary for your workflow.

Tips While Using
