1. Convert Traditional and Simplified Chinese from the Review tab
Entry point: Review → Simplified to Traditional / Traditional to Simplified
- Open the WPS spreadsheet file that you want to edit, then select the cell range that you want to convert. If you want to process the whole worksheet, press
Cmd+Ato select all. - Click the Review tab at the top of the window.
- Click Simplified to Traditional to convert Simplified Chinese into Traditional Chinese, or click Traditional to Simplified to convert Traditional Chinese into Simplified Chinese.
- Choose conversion by word or by character based on your content.
- Review the result. If you want to restore the original content, press
Cmd+Zto undo.
Success Criteria
- UI state: Chinese text in the selected range has been converted in the direction you chose.
- Next actions: You can continue editing, saving, or exporting the current spreadsheet.
- No side effects: Numbers, English text, and special symbols stay unchanged.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: If you do not select the target range first, you may convert the wrong area.
- Environment limits: This feature works on Chinese text content only, so it is a good idea to review key terms after conversion.
- Undo tip: Before a large batch conversion, you may want to save a copy for comparison.
