What happens if the selected cell is not referenced by any formula?
- Select the cell you want to check.
- Click Trace Dependent Cells.
- If no formula references the current cell, the app shows a message indicating that no formulas refer to it.
Can I trace precedents and dependents at the same time?
- Run Trace Precedent Cells for the target cell first.
- Then run Trace Dependent Cells.
- Both arrow types can appear in the same worksheet so you can review upstream and downstream relationships together.
Are trace arrows saved in the file?
- Trace arrows are temporary visual markers.
- They disappear after the file is closed.
- They are not saved as part of the spreadsheet content.
