How-to Guide
1. Apply the Edit Form effect
Entry path: Edit tab → Edit Content → Text Editing → Form
- Open the PDF file you want to edit.
- Click the Edit tab on the top menu bar.
- Click Edit Content to enter content editing mode.
- Click Text Editing on the toolbar to switch to text editing mode.
- Select the text you want to format.
- Click the Form button on the toolbar to apply the Edit Form effect.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The selected text shows the applied form-style effect.
- Next action available: You can continue formatting other text or save the file.
Tips While Using
- Permissions or membership: You need membership access to edit PDF files.
- Common mistake: If no text is selected first, the button may not work as expected.
- Environment limit: Text in scanned PDFs usually needs OCR before it can be edited.
2. Remove the Edit Form effect
Entry path: Edit tab → Edit Content → Text Editing → Form
- Open the PDF file where the Edit Form effect has already been applied.
- Click the Edit tab and enter Edit Content.
- Switch to Text Editing mode.
- Select the text that already has the Edit Form effect.
- Click the Form button again to remove the effect.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The target text returns to its normal display without the form-style effect.
- Next action available: You can apply a different text style or save the file.
Tips While Using
- Permissions or membership: You need membership access to edit PDF files.
- Common mistake: If the formatted text is not selected, clicking the button again will not remove the effect from the intended text.
3. Combine with other text formatting
Entry path: Edit tab → Edit Content → Text Editing → Text formatting tools
- Open the PDF file and enter Edit Content.
- Switch to Text Editing mode.
- Select the target text.
- Click the Form button to apply the Edit Form effect.
- Continue by clicking Bold, Italic, Underline, or other formatting buttons as needed.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The target text keeps the form-style effect together with the additional text formatting you selected.
- Next action available: You can continue adjusting text styles and save the file.
