How-to Guide

1. Add an annotation

Entry path: Comment tab → Note button

  1. Click the Comment tab on the top menu bar.
  2. Click Note and choose an annotation color in the color picker.
  3. Click the position on the page where you want to place the annotation.
  4. Type the annotation content in the input box that appears on the right.

Success Criteria

  • An annotation icon appears on the page.
  • The input box on the right accepts text normally.
  • The annotation remains in the current PDF after you finish typing.

Tips While Using

  • This task requires WPS membership.
  • Choosing the color before clicking the page can reduce repeated adjustments.
  • Annotations can be used in both scanned PDFs and regular PDFs.

2. Edit an annotation

Entry path: Click an existing annotation icon

  1. Click the annotation icon that has already been added on the page.
  2. Edit the annotation content in the input box on the right.

Success Criteria

  • The input box on the right shows the current annotation content.
  • The updated content is saved normally.
  • The annotation icon remains linked to the same page position.

Tips While Using

  • This task requires WPS membership.
  • Confirm that you selected the correct annotation icon before editing.

3. Delete an annotation

Entry path: Click the annotation icon, then use the upper-right control in the input box

  1. Click the annotation icon that you want to remove.
  2. Click the close button at the upper-right corner of the input box on the right.
  3. Confirm that the annotation has been removed from the page.

Success Criteria

  • The corresponding annotation icon no longer appears.
  • The annotation content is no longer kept on the page.

Tips While Using

  • This task requires WPS membership.
  • Confirm that the annotation is no longer needed before removing it.
