What should I do if the buttons in the Ribbon are grayed out?

  1. Confirm that a PDF document is already open.
  2. Check whether you are on the correct tab.
  3. If the button is related to editing or another advanced feature, confirm that your account has the required membership benefits.
  4. Re-select the document content or switch to the related work area and try again.

How do I collapse or expand the Ribbon to get more editing space?

  1. Find the currently selected tab label at the top of the Ribbon.
  2. Double-click the tab label to collapse the Ribbon.
  3. Double-click the same tab again when you want to restore it.
  4. Confirm that the command area is expanded again before continuing.

There are too many buttons in the Ribbon. How can I find the one I need?

  1. Decide whether your task belongs under Home, Edit, Page, Comment, Tools, Fill & Sign, Protect, Convert, or WPS AI.
  2. Click the related tab to narrow the search range.
  3. If a search button is available on the right side of the interface, click it and search for the target feature.
  4. Hover over related buttons to confirm the feature description.
