What should I do if the Italic button is grayed out?

  1. Make sure the PDF file is open and that you have entered Edit Content mode.
  2. Select the target text and then check the Italic button again.
  3. Confirm that your account has PDF editing membership benefits.
  4. If the file is a scanned PDF, run OCR first and then try again.

How do I remove italic after applying it?

  1. Select the text that is already in italic.
  2. Click the Italic button again, or press Ctrl+I.
  3. Confirm that the text returns to regular styling.

Why can’t I apply italic to some PDF text?

  1. Check whether the PDF is a scanned file or image-based content.
  2. If the text is not editable, run OCR or convert it into editable text first.
  3. Re-enter editing mode and then select the text to apply italic.

Can italic be used together with other formatting?
