Why is the Format Painter button grayed out?

  1. Make sure the file is open in WPS PDF.
  2. Make sure you have entered text edit mode.
  3. Select text that already contains the formatting you want to copy, then check the button again.
  4. If the button is still unavailable, confirm that your account has access to PDF editing.

What formatting can Format Painter copy?

  1. Format Painter is mainly used for text-related formatting.
  2. It can usually copy font, font size, bold, italic, underline, font color, line spacing, and character spacing.
  3. It copies formatting only and does not copy the text content itself.

How do I exit continuous Format Painter mode?

  1. Press Esc while continuous mode is active.
  2. You can also click the Format Painter button again to stop it.
  3. After you exit, the cursor returns to the normal editing state.
