1. Select the text whose color you want to change
Entry: Text Edit tab
- Open the PDF file you want to edit.
- Enter Text Edit mode.
- Select the text whose color you want to change.
- Confirm that the font color button on the toolbar becomes available after the text is selected.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The target text is selected, and the font color button is clickable.
- Next action available: You can open the color picker and apply a new color.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If no text is selected first, the font color button may stay gray and unavailable.
- Permissions or membership: Editing PDF files requires membership.
- Environment limits: Text in scanned PDFs usually needs OCR before it can be edited.
2. Set the font color
Entry: Text Edit tab → Font Color button
- After selecting text, click the font color button on the toolbar.
- Choose the color you want in the pop-up color picker.
- To restore the default color, choose Automatic.
- To use preset options, choose Theme Colors or Standard Colors.
- For more precise color settings, choose Other Colors to open the custom color dialog box.
- To match an existing color on the page or screen, use the Eyedropper.
- Confirm that the selected color is applied immediately to the selected text.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The selected text displays the new color.
- Next action available: You can continue editing other text, save the file, or adjust the color again.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not reselect a different text object, the color change only applies to the current selection.
