Why can't I find the Word Count entry?

  1. Make sure the file you opened is a Writer document and that you are in an editable view.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom, then switch to the Review tab.
  3. Look for Word Count in the review-related tools.
  4. If the entry is still unavailable, update WPS Office for iOS and try again.

What information is included in Word Count?

  1. The Word Count panel shows words, characters with spaces, characters without spaces, non-Chinese words, and Chinese words.
  2. These statistics help you understand document length and text structure.
  3. After editing, reopen the panel to review the latest results.

Why did the statistics change after I edited the document?

  1. Word Count updates with the current document content.
  2. Adding, deleting, or replacing text changes the word and character totals.
  3. If the content changes before or after saving, the statistics can also change.

How do I hide the quick word count entry in the editing area?

  1. Open Tools and go to Review.
  2. Tap Word Count.
  3. Clear Live Word Count Display.
  4. Return to the editing area and confirm that the quick entry is hidden.
