Why is the Review area grayed out or unavailable?

  1. Check whether the current document is protected.
  2. Check whether the document format supports the current review-related actions.
  3. Reopen the document and check the Review tab again.

Why can’t I find the content I want after setting the review time?

  1. Check whether the start and end review times are set correctly.
  2. Reopen the Review Pane and view all content before filtering again.
  3. Click back in the document body to make sure the filter has been applied.

Why is the pane empty after I switch reviewers?

  1. Confirm that the selected reviewer has revisions or comments in the current document.
  2. Switch to All Reviewers and check whether content appears.
  3. If it is still empty, the document may not contain related review records for that reviewer.

How do I choose between the vertical and horizontal review pane?

  1. On a wide screen, try the vertical review pane first so you can view the document and feedback side by side.
  2. If you have more vertical screen space, try the horizontal review pane.
  3. Switch based on your reading habit and document length.
