How-to Guide

1. Start Parallel Translate

Entry: Review → Parallel Translate

  1. Open the document you want to translate.
  2. Click the Review tab on the top menu bar.
  3. Click Parallel Translate.
  4. Wait while WPS translates the full document and creates a new document by default.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A new bilingual comparison document is created.
  • Next action available: You can continue to the side-by-side reading view.

Tips While Using

  • Membership: This feature requires membership.
  • Environment: Keep your device connected to the internet and sign in to your account before use.

2. Review the Translation Result

Entry: The generated comparison document

  1. Open the generated comparison document.
  2. Review the translated content in the right pane.
  3. Review the original content in the left pane.
  4. Read the document sentence by sentence in the bilingual view.
  5. Move your pointer over a sentence to highlight the matching source sentence.
  6. Click Save at the top of the translation window to save the translated content.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The original text appears on the left and the translated text appears on the right.
  • Next action available: You can save the translated result and continue reviewing the document.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you are not viewing the generated comparison document, you may not see the full bilingual interface.
  • Quality check: Review important content manually before using it in formal work.

3. Adjust Translation Settings

Entry: The top menu area of the generated comparison document

  1. Find the translation settings area at the top of the comparison document.
  2. Switch the translation engine.
  3. Select the source language and target language.
  4. Turn on AI-enhanced translation as needed, and add personal or system term bases.
  5. Switch between left-right and top-bottom layouts, then adjust the page zoom.
  6. Open Translation History to review earlier records.

  • Interface result: Translation settings can be changed and applied normally.
  • Next action available: You can continue reviewing the updated result or open earlier translation records.
