1. Insert a Text Comment

Feature path: Tools → Insert → Comment

  1. Select the text or paragraph where you want to add a comment.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Select the Insert tab.
  4. Tap Comment.
  5. Tap the text icon at the top.
  6. Enter your comment and tap Send.

Success Criteria

  • A comment marker appears for the selected text.
  • You can tap the marked location to view the text comment.

Tips While Using

  • You need to select text or a paragraph before adding a comment.
  • In editing mode, you can also tap Insert at the bottom and then open Comment.

2. Insert a Voice Comment

Feature path: Tools → Insert → Comment

  1. Select the text or paragraph where you want to add a comment.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Select the Insert tab.
  4. Tap Comment.
  5. Tap the voice icon at the top.
  6. Press and hold the blue microphone icon to speak.
  7. Tap Send when finished.

Success Criteria

  • A voice comment marker appears for the selected text.
  • You can tap the comment to access its voice content entry.

Tips While Using

  • Make sure microphone permission is available before recording.
  • In editing mode, you can also tap Insert at the bottom and then open Comment.

3. View Comments

Feature path: Tools → Review → Show Comments

  1. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  2. Select the Review tab.
  3. Turn on Show Comments.
  4. Tap text that already has a comment.

Success Criteria

  • Comments are displayed in the document.
  • Tapping commented text shows the related comment content.

Tips While Using

  • If Show Comments is off, existing comments may not appear directly in the document.

4. View Comments in Classic Mode

Feature path: Tools → Review → View Comments and Revisions in Classic Mode

  1. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  2. Select the Review tab.
  3. Turn on View Comments and Revisions in Classic Mode.
  4. Check the comment display panel on the right side of the editing area.

Success Criteria

  • A comments and revisions area appears on the right side.
  • You can review existing comments from that panel.

Tips While Using

  • Classic mode is useful when you want to scan multiple comments in one place.

5. Edit or Delete a Comment

Feature path: Review → Show Comments → Select a Comment → More Actions

  1. In the Review tab, turn on Show Comments.
  2. Tap text that already has a comment.
  3. In the comment box, tap the ... button on the right side of the comment.
  4. Select Edit or Delete.
  5. If you choose Edit, update the content and save it.
  6. If you choose Delete, confirm the action to remove the comment.

Success Criteria

  • Edited comments show the updated content.
  • Deleted comments no longer appear.

Tips While Using

  • Voice comments can only be deleted and cannot be edited.
  • Replying to a comment is equivalent to adding another comment for the current text.

6. Edit a Comment in Classic Mode

Feature path: Review → View Comments and Revisions in Classic Mode → Double-tap Comment Content

  1. In the Review tab, turn on View Comments and Revisions in Classic Mode.
  2. Find the target comment in the right-side comment panel.
  3. Double-tap the comment content you want to change.
  4. Tap OK after editing.

Success Criteria

  • The comment content in the right-side panel is updated.
  • The related comment remains available in the document.

Tips While Using

  • If you tap the voice icon on the right side of the input box while editing, WPS adds a new voice comment.

7. Delete a Comment in Classic Mode

Feature path: Review → View Comments and Revisions in Classic Mode → Select a Comment → Delete

  1. In the Review tab, turn on View Comments and Revisions in Classic Mode.
  2. Find the target comment in the comments and revisions panel on the right.
  3. Tap the comment you want to remove.
  4. Tap Delete.

Success Criteria

  • The target comment is removed from both the right-side list and the document.

Tips While Using

  • In classic mode, deleting a comment may not require a second confirmation, so check the target carefully before you proceed.
