1. Open with another app from the document page

Entry: Top menu bar More > Open with Other Apps

  1. Open the target document.
  2. Tap the More button in the top menu bar.
  3. Tap Open with Other Apps in the pop-up panel.
  4. Review the list of apps shown in the system app chooser for the current file format.
  5. Select the target app.
  6. Wait for the document to open in the selected app.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: The system app chooser appears and shows apps that can handle the current file.
  • What you can do next: After you select an app, the document can continue to be viewed, edited, or converted there.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you do not open the target document first, you cannot start this action from the document-page entry.
  • Environment note: If no compatible app is installed, the expected target app may not appear in the list.

2. Open with another app from the Home file list

Entry: WPS Home file list More > Open with Other Apps

  1. Find the target document in the WPS Home file list.
  2. Tap More on the right side of the document.
  3. Tap Open with Other Apps in the pop-up panel.
  4. Review the list of apps shown in the system app chooser for the current file format.
  5. Select the target app.
  6. Wait for the document to open in the selected app.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: You can open the system app chooser directly without entering the document first.
  • What you can do next: After you select an app, the file opens in that app.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you tap the wrong file, a different document will be sent to another app.
  • Environment note: App support for file formats varies, so the visible list depends on what is installed on the device.
