1. Open a document with another app from inside the document
Entry: top menu bar More → Open with Other Apps
- Open the target document.
- Tap More in the top menu bar.
- Tap Open with Other Apps in the pop-up menu.
- In the system app chooser, review the list of apps that can open the current file format.
- Select the target app.
- Wait for the document to open in the selected app.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The system app chooser appears, or the selected app opens directly.
- What you can do next: The document can be viewed, edited, or processed further in the target app.
Tips While Using
- Some apps support viewing only and do not support editing.
- Whether the target app can open the file depends on its support for the file format.
- Changes made in another app do not automatically sync back to WPS.
2. Open a document with another app from the Home file list
Entry: WPS Home file list More → Open with Other Apps
- Open WPS Home.
- Find the target document in the file list.
- Tap More next to the document.
- Tap Open with Other Apps in the pop-up menu.
- Select the target app in the system app chooser.
- Wait for the document to open in the selected app.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The selected file in the Home list can trigger the system app chooser.
- What you can do next: You can hand off the file to another app without opening the document first.
Tips While Using
- If the target app does not appear, install the app first and try again.
- The same document may display differently in different apps.
