1. Set a Graph Paper layout

Feature path: Page tab → Graph Paper

  1. Open a document in WPS Writer.
  2. Click Graph Paper on the Page tab.
  3. In the dialog box, select Use manuscript paper.
  4. Set the specification, such as 20×20 or 15×20.
  5. Choose a grid type, such as square-grid manuscript paper or lined manuscript paper.
  6. Set the grid color, line style, page orientation, and paper size as needed.
  7. Click OK to apply the settings.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the current document page is displayed in a graph paper style.
  • What you can do next: continue typing and review the page layout effect.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if Use manuscript paper is not selected, the other graph paper settings will not take effect.
  • Layout impact: the graph paper layout changes the current document page formatting.

2. Remove a Graph Paper layout

Feature path: Page tab → Graph Paper

  1. Open a document that already uses the graph paper layout.
  2. Click Graph Paper on the Page tab.
  3. In the settings dialog, clear Use manuscript paper.
  4. Click OK to save the change.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: after you remove graph paper, the visual writing guides disappear, so confirm that you no longer need the layout before saving.
