FAQ

How do I delete a break?

  1. Turn on show or hide editing marks in the document.
  2. Locate the page break or section break you want to remove.
  3. Select the break mark and press the Delete key.

Why can’t I set different headers and footers after inserting a page break?

  1. A page break only starts a new page and does not create a new section.
  2. Insert a section break where you need separate header or footer settings.
  3. Then edit the header or footer for each section.

What is the difference between a continuous section break and a next-page section break?

  1. A continuous section break starts a new section on the same page.
  2. A next-page section break starts a new section on the following page.
  3. If you need both a new section and a new page, use a next-page section break.

Why did the document layout change after I inserted a section break?

  1. Each section can use its own page settings after a section break is inserted.
  2. Check whether the new section uses different margins, page numbering, headers, or footers.
  3. Adjust the section settings again if you want a consistent layout.
