1. Set Table Shading

Entry path: Select the whole table → tap Table Properties on the floating toolbar → open the Shading tab

  1. Select the table you want to adjust.
  2. Tap Table Properties on the floating toolbar.
  3. If the floating toolbar is not shown, tap Tools, open the Table tab, and then tap Table Properties.
  4. Open the Shading tab.
  5. Choose the shading color you want.
  6. In Apply, choose the target range, such as text, paragraph, cell, or the whole table.
  7. Tap OK in the upper-right corner to finish.

Success Criteria

  • Visual result: the selected area shows the new shading color.
  • Next action: you can keep editing the table or reopen Table Properties to change the style again.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if you do not select the whole table first, the color may apply only to the current cell or part of the table.

2. Adjust Alignment and Wrapping

Entry path: Select the whole table → tap Table Properties on the floating toolbar → open the Alignment and Wrapping tab

  1. Select the table you want to adjust.
  2. Tap Table Properties on the floating toolbar.
  3. If the floating toolbar is not shown, tap Tools, open the Table tab, and then tap Table Properties.
  4. Open the Alignment and Wrapping tab.
  5. In Alignment, choose left, center, or right.
  6. In Wrapping, choose none or text wrapping.
  7. Tap OK in the upper-right corner to finish.
