FAQ

What should I do if the text looks wrong after changing line spacing?

  1. Open the paragraph settings again and check whether you used a preset option, Exactly, or Multiple.
  2. If the text looks too tight, try 1.5 lines or a larger Multiple value.
  3. If larger font sizes look compressed, try At least or a higher Exactly value.

Why does paragraph spacing not change much?

  1. Make sure the target paragraph is selected.
  2. Check whether valid values were entered for Before and After.
  3. Compare the spacing settings of adjacent paragraphs, because the visible result depends on both sides.

How do I set 1.25 line spacing?

  1. Select the target paragraph and open the Paragraph dialog box.
  2. In the line spacing options, select Multiple.
