1. Scan text with the camera
Entry point: Tools > Insert > Scan Text
- Tap Tools at the bottom.
- Select the Insert tab.
- Tap Scan Text.
- Take a photo of the content you want to recognize, then tap Next.
- Select the scan area in the photo, then tap Start Extracting.
- Tap Insert into Document to finish the image to text process.
Tip: You can turn on AI Scan to improve recognition accuracy.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The recognized text is inserted into the current document.
- Next actions: You can continue editing, copying, or adjusting the inserted text.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: If the phone shakes during capture or the text area is tilted, recognition quality may be affected.

2. Scan text from a gallery image
Entry point: Tools > Insert > Scan Text
- Tap Tools at the bottom.
- Select the Insert tab.
- Tap Scan Text.
- Tap Gallery at the bottom.
- Select an image, then tap Next.
- Select the scan area in the image, then tap Start Extracting.
- Tap Insert into Document to finish the image to text workflow.
