How-to Guide
1. Paragraph Organizing
Feature path: Home → Text Layout → Paragraph Organizing
- Select the paragraphs you want to organize.
- Click the Home tab.
- Open the Text Layout drop-down menu.
- Select Paragraph Organizing.
- Wait for WPS to remove extra blank paragraphs and improve paragraph spacing.
Success Criteria
- Extra blank paragraphs in the selected content are reduced.
- Paragraph spacing looks more consistent and the document remains editable.
Tips While Using
- Confirm the selection range first so that you do not reorganize content you want to keep unchanged.
2. Paragraph Rearrangement
Feature path: Home → Text Layout → Paragraph Rearrangement
- Select the paragraphs you want to process.
- Click the Home tab.
- Open the Text Layout drop-down menu.
- Select Paragraph Rearrangement.
- Review the adjusted paragraph formatting.
Success Criteria
- Paragraph formatting is rearranged.
- The document structure looks more consistent and can still be edited.
3. Hanging Indent Alignment
Feature path: Home → Text Layout → Hanging Indent Alignment
- Select the paragraphs you want to set.
- Click the Home tab.
- Open the Text Layout drop-down menu.
- Select Hanging Indent Alignment.
Success Criteria
- The paragraph shows a hanging indent effect.
4. First-Line Indent by 2 Characters
Feature path: Home → Text Layout → First-Line Indent by 2 Characters
- Select the paragraphs you want to set.
- Click the Home tab.
- Open the Text Layout drop-down menu.
- Select First-Line Indent by 2 Characters.
Success Criteria
- The first line of the paragraph is indented by 2 characters.
5. More Paragraph Processing
Feature path: Home → Text Layout → More Paragraph Processing
- Select the paragraphs you want to process.
- Click the Home tab.
- Open the Text Layout drop-down menu.
- Open More Paragraph Processing.
- Choose the needed option, such as Convert to Empty Paragraph Separation Style, Convert Line Breaks to Carriage Returns, Convert First-Line Indent to Spaces, or Add Empty Paragraphs.
Success Criteria
- The selected paragraphs are processed according to the option you chose.
Tips While Using
- Save the document before running a batch conversion if you want to compare the result afterward.
6. Delete Tools
Feature path: Home → Text Layout → Delete
- Select the paragraphs or document content you want to process.
- Click the Home tab.
- Open the Text Layout drop-down menu.
- Open the Delete menu.
- Choose Delete Empty Paragraphs, Delete Spaces at Paragraph Start, Delete Spaces, Delete Line Breaks, or Delete Blank Pages.
Success Criteria
- The selected blank paragraphs, spaces, line breaks, or blank pages are removed.
7. Text Wrapping
Feature path: Home → Arrange → Text Wrapping
- Select the picture or shape you want to adjust.
- Click the Home tab.
- Open the Arrange drop-down menu.
- Click Text Wrapping.
- Choose the wrapping style you need.
Success Criteria
- Text flows around the object and the page layout changes accordingly.
Tips While Using
- Select the object first. If nothing is selected, wrapping options cannot be applied directly.
8. Align Objects
Feature path: Home → Arrange → Align
- Select multiple objects that you want to align.

- Click Align.
- Choose the alignment option you need.
