1. Insert an image from a local file
Feature entry: Insert → Picture → Local Picture
- Place the cursor where you want the image to appear.
- Click the Insert tab on the top menu bar.
- Click Picture and select Local Picture.
- Browse to the target image in the file picker.
- Select the image and click Open.
Success Criteria
- The image appears near the current cursor position in the document.
- You can select the image and continue moving or resizing it.
Tips While Using
- Common formats such as JPG, PNG, GIF, and BMP are recommended.
- If the document is protected, image insertion may not be available.
2. Drag and drop an image into a document
Feature entry: Drag an image file directly into the editing area
- Open the folder that contains the image.
- Select the target image file.
- Drag the file into the target position in the WPS Writer document.
