When using Document Components, the most common questions fall into 3 areas: finding the entry, choosing a format, and understanding automatic updating; this page covers 3 common questions.
FAQ
Why do I only see Date and Time in Document Components on Android?
- The current Document Components support on Android is inserting date and time.
- Open a document, then go to Tools → Insert and check whether Date and Time is available.
- If you need another predefined content type, check whether that entry is available on your current platform.
Can I change the display format when I insert date and time?
- Go to Tools → Insert → Date and Time.
- Choose the language and date format in the dialog.
- Confirm the selection to insert it into the document body.
What does automatic updating do?
- Turn on Automatic Update when inserting date and time.
- This keeps the inserted time field using its update behavior later in the document workflow.
- If you want to keep a fixed date, leave that option off.
