Why do character spacing changes or character scaling sometimes have no effect?
- Select the text that does not respond to the change.
- Open the Chinese Layout dropdown on the Home tab.
- Click Adjust Width and check whether a width setting has already been applied.
- If it has, click Delete to remove the width setting.
- Click OK, then apply Character Scaling or related spacing changes again.
How many characters can Combine Characters process at one time?
- Select the text you want to process.
- Before opening Combine Characters, check the number of selected characters.
- Combine Characters supports up to 6 characters at one time.
- If the content is longer than 6 characters, split it into multiple parts and apply the feature separately.
Can I add brackets in Combine in Two Lines?
- Select the text you want to format.
- Open Combine in Two Lines from Chinese Layout.
- In the dialog box, enable the bracket option.
- Choose the bracket style you want.
- Click OK to finish.
How do I restore the original display after using Adjust Width?
- Select the text that already has a width setting.
- Open Adjust Width from Chinese Layout.
- Click Delete in the dialog box.
- Click OK, and the text returns to its original width state.
