How-to Guide
1. Set the font from the ribbon
Feature entry: Home tab → Font drop-down box
- Select the text whose font you want to change.
- Click the Home tab.
- Open the Font drop-down box.
- Select the font you want to apply.
Success Criteria
- The selected text displays in the new font.
- You can continue typing or editing with the updated font style.
Tips While Using
- If the font does not appear in the list, check whether it is installed in Windows.
2. Set the font from the floating toolbar
Feature entry: Floating toolbar → Font drop-down box
- Select the text whose font you want to change.
- Open the Font drop-down box on the floating toolbar.
- Select the target font.
Success Criteria
- The selected text updates immediately.
- You can keep editing without switching to another menu.
3. Set the font from the right-click menu

- Right-click the selected text.

7. Set font or size in the Font dialog box

- Select the text you want to adjust.
- Click the arrow icon at the lower-right corner of the Font area on the Home tab to open the Font dialog box.
- Set the Chinese font, Western font, complex script font, or font size.
- Click OK to apply the settings.

- The dialog box settings are applied to the selected text.

8. Embed fonts in the file
Feature entry: File → Options → General and Save → Embed fonts in the file
- Click File in the upper-left corner.
- Select Options.
- Open General and Save.
- Select Embed fonts in the file.
- Click OK to save the setting.
Success Criteria
- WPS attempts to embed fonts when the document is saved.
- Layout is more stable across devices when the font supports embedding.

9. Use cloud fonts
