Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Share by file from the document page

Entry path: Share on the top menu bar of the document → Share by File

  1. Open the document you want to share.
  2. Tap Share on the top menu bar.
  3. Tap Share by File.
  4. In the sharing options, choose Share as Link or Share by File.
  5. Select a destination such as WPS collaboration, WeChat, or Mail, then send it.
  6. The document is sent as the original online cloud document or as a .docx file.

Success Check

  • The iOS share sheet or target app sharing panel appears.
  • The selected app can receive the current document.
  • The recipient gets the content as an online document or file, depending on the option you chose.

Notes

  • If the recipient needs to keep editing, choose Share by File first.
  • If multiple people should view the same online version, choose Share as Link.
  • Before sending, make sure the target app is signed in and ready to send messages or email.

2. Share by file from the Home document list

Entry path: Share for a document on the WPS Home page → Share by File

  1. Find the document you want to share on the WPS Home page.
  2. Tap the Share button for that document.
  3. Tap Share by File.
  4. Choose the target app and send it.

Success Check

  • You can enter the sharing flow without opening the document first.
  • The target sharing app opens successfully.
  • The document can be sent to the recipient as a file.

Notes

  • This method is useful for quickly forwarding recent or visible documents from Home.
  • If the document is not shown on Home, go to its location first and then share it.

3. Choose the right sending method

  1. Open the document sharing entry.
  2. Review the available sending methods.
  3. Choose the method that matches your goal: use Send as File for an editable file, Share as Link for collaborative viewing, or image sharing for a static preview.
