1. Capture a Formula with the Camera
Feature entry: Tools → Insert → Formula Recognition
- Place the cursor where you want to insert the formula.
- Tap the Tools tab at the bottom.
- Tap Insert.
- Select Formula Recognition.
- Point the camera at the formula you want to recognize.
- Wait for the app to recognize the formula automatically.
- Preview the result, then tap Insert into Document after you confirm it is correct.
Success Criteria
- The recognized result appears normally in the preview area.
- After you tap Insert into Document, the formula appears at the current cursor position.
- The inserted formula can continue to be viewed and edited in the document.
Tips While Using
- This feature requires WPS Premium.
- Keep the image clear, well lit, and as flat as possible when capturing a formula.
- For complex nested formulas, review the inserted result again to confirm that the content is complete.
2. Recognize a Formula from Photos or Files
Feature entry: Tools → Insert → Formula Recognition
- Place the cursor where you want to insert the formula.
- Tap the Tools tab at the bottom, then tap Insert.
- Select Formula Recognition to open the recognition screen.
- Tap Photos or Files to add an image or file.
- Wait for the app to recognize the formula automatically.
