1. Drag a WPS Art object to a new position

Entry: Select the WPS Art object directly on the slide

  1. Select the WPS Art object that you want to move.
  2. Hold the left mouse button and drag the object to the target position.
  3. Release the mouse button to finish the adjustment.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The object appears in a new position on the slide.
  • Next action available: You can continue resizing, rotating, or arranging the object.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the object is not selected first, you may move focus to another item on the slide instead.
  • Environment note: When a slide contains many objects, confirm that the correct WPS Art object is selected before dragging.

2. Set an exact position for a WPS Art object

Entry: Design tab → Size area → Expand button → Object Properties → Size & Properties → Position

  1. Select the WPS Art object.
  2. Click the Design tab.
  3. In the Size area, click the expand button to open the Object Properties pane on the right.
  4. In the Size & Properties tab, find the Position section.
  5. Enter the horizontal position and vertical position values.
  6. In the relative position option, choose a reference point such as Top Left or Center.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The object position changes based on the values you entered.
  • Next action available: You can continue editing the values for further fine adjustments.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the Size & Properties tab is not open, the Position section may not be visible.
  • Environment note: Numeric adjustment is more suitable when you need a consistent layout or more precise placement.

3. Center a WPS Art object on a slide

Entry: Home tab → Arrange → Align

  1. Select the WPS Art object that you want to center.
  2. Click Arrange on the Home tab.
  3. Select Align.
  4. Click Align Center.
  5. Click Align Middle to place the object in the center area of the slide.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The object appears in the middle area of the slide.
  • Next action available: You can still drag the object or enter values to fine-tune the position.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you apply only horizontal or only vertical centering, the object will not be fully centered on the slide.
  • Environment note: If the slide contains multiple objects, confirm that only the target object is selected.
