1. Apply Preset Gradients

Entry: Text Tools → Text Fill → Gradient Fill

  1. Select the text that you want to format.
  2. Under Text Tools, click the arrow next to Text Fill to open the drop-down menu.
  3. In the Gradient Fill section, choose the preset gradient style you want.
  4. If you want more styles, click More Fill Colors.
  5. Select a style to apply the gradient fill to the text immediately.

Success Criteria

  • The selected text shows a visible gradient transition.
  • The style remains applied when you select the text again.

  • If you need gradient direction, angle, or color stop settings, use the Gradient Fill entry under Text Fill instead.

3. Use the Floating Toolbar for Text Color

Entry: Select text → Floating toolbar → Font Color

  1. Select the text that you want to format.
  2. Wait for the floating toolbar to appear automatically.
  3. Click the drop-down arrow next to Font Color.
  4. Choose the color you want from the color panel.
  5. Confirm that the text updates immediately.

Success Criteria

  • You can change the text color without switching tabs.
  • The updated color appears on the current slide right away.

Tips While Using

  • The floating toolbar is useful for quick adjustments.
  • If no text is selected, the floating toolbar will not appear.

4. Customize Gradient Effects and Check Membership Styles

Entry: Text Tools → Text Fill → More Settings → Text Options → Fill & Outline → Gradient Fill

  1. Select the target text and click the drop-down arrow next to Text Fill.
  2. Click More Settings to open the Object Properties panel on the right.
  3. Under Text Options, select Fill & Outline.
  4. Find the Text Fill section and switch it to Gradient Fill.
  5. Set the gradient style, angle, color stop color, position, and transparency.
  6. Check whether the effect updates on the selected text in real time.
  7. If a preset style shows a membership mark, confirm your current account permissions before using it.
