How-to Index

How-to Guide

1. Apply Preset 3D Rotation

Entry point: Text Tools → Text Effects → 3D Rotation

  1. Select the text that you want to format with 3D rotation.
  2. On the top Text Tools tab, click Text Effects → 3D Rotation.
  3. In the pop-up panel, choose a preset rotation style such as parallel, perspective, or oblique.
  4. The selected text immediately applies the corresponding 3D rotation effect.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The selected text shows the applied 3D rotation style.
  • Next actions: You can continue editing the text content, font size, color, or switch to another preset style.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If you do not select the text first, the text effect entry may not apply to the intended object.
  • Environment limits: This feature is intended for text objects, so confirm that the current selection is editable text.

2. Customize 3D Rotation

Entry point: Text Tools → Text Effects → More Settings → Text Options → Effects → 3D Rotation

  1. Select the target text, then click Text Effects on the Text Tools tab.
  2. Click More Settings to open the Object Properties panel on the right.
  3. Under Text Options, click Effects.
  4. Click 3D Rotation to open the detailed settings panel.
  5. Adjust the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis rotation values separately.
  6. Adjust Perspective to control the near-large, far-small visual effect.
  7. Set Distance from Bottom to control the text position in three-dimensional space.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The text appearance updates as you change values in the right-side panel.
  • Next actions: You can keep fine-tuning angles and perspective until the text reaches the visual result you want.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: Rotation values that are too large can make text look overly distorted and harder to read.
  • Environment limits: For easier previewing, make adjustments in a larger editing area.
