1. Protect a Slide Master
Entry path: Open Slide Master from the Review tab first, then go to the Slide Master tab and select Protect Master
- Open the presentation you want to edit.
- On the Review tab, click Slide Master to enter master editing view.
- In the left thumbnail pane, select the master you want to protect.
- Switch to the Slide Master tab.
- Click Protect Master to protect the current master.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: You are in Slide Master view and the target master has been protected.
- What you can do next: You can continue editing other masters or return to normal view to keep working on the presentation.
- No side effect: Other masters that were not selected are not protected by this action.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not enter Slide Master view first, you will not see the Protect Master entry.
- Permissions or membership: This feature does not require membership.
